As promised, Apple unveiled its Mac App Store this morning with a roll out of OSX 10.6.6. You need to install the update for the OS before you can open up the App Store. As usual with things like this some are reporting great results and some are reporting some error messages, so take that as you may.
App Store Preview for Mac provides a snapshot of the App Store right from your OS X Dashboard. An easy-to-use widget, it lets you sort and search for apps based on cost and popularity. Apple Thursday morning released update Mac OS X 10.6.6 for Snow Leopard, bringing the new Mac App Store, along with the usual bug and security fixes.
There are reports that there are some pretty good deals on the App Store including a reduced price for Aperture at $79.99. It also looks like Angry Birds is now the number one selling App at the moment (or is that Application?) Does that surprise anyone?

macOS 10.12.6 is currently available to registered developers; a public beta has also been available although releases are sometimes not simultaneous.
macOS 10.12.6 will likely be the last version of macOS Sierra before Apple ships macOS High Sierra later this fall. macOS 10.13 is currently available in developer beta while a public beta is promised for a later release.
macOS High Sierra includes the Apple File System, HEVC support, Metal 2, improvements to Mail, Photos, and Safari, and more.
